Fahari is a Swahili word meaning ‘a quality that outshines the usual’ an initiative aimed at enhancing girls potential though sports and creating an environment where adolescent and teenage girls can gain access to female driven development activities in life skills and HIV/Aids, culture, leadership, and peer education. The impact of these activities will be to build self-esteem and leadership skills of girls; increase gender consciousness; raise awareness and exchange information concerning the various issues affecting young females in the informal settlements.
