For the past years CHIRSC has established itself in the region by engaging young people for society development through the art of sports.

According to the local history the name of the town comes from a slave trader called Chief Kivoi who settled near the Voi River about 400 years ago.

Voi is the largest town in Taita-Taveta County in southern Kenya, in the former Coast Province. For the past years CHIRSC has established itself in the region by engaging young people for society development through the art of sports. Our mission of enhancing youth potential through sports has been boasted with major activities and events that have brought a big impact to many young people in the region. The series of many activities and programs are taking place in different areas: these activities are life skills, underage youth football league for U12, U14 and U16, volleyball U16 both gender, clean ups, computer training, clean ups, tree plantings, community awareness and schools. Other programs are capacity building, WASH activity, discussion forums, weekly sports sessions, culture and computer training. The organization works also work hand in hand with formal and informal schools around their operations zones, the district work 6 primary schools and 4 secondary schools. All these activities are of greater opportunity to the lives of many young people around the region.
